Traditional

The first design I made used the traditional Shetland lace pattern known as “Print O’ the Wave”.  Initially I used the work to make a feature of 2 prominent down pipes on the back of my cottage.

This is also the design decorating the front of Croft Roy cottage, where all the crafting happens. This time I mounted the work with the pattern running downwards to reflect the fact that this pattern is also known as “trailing leaf”.

“Diamond Trellis” design,  another traditional lace pattern,  is shown here mounted on my portable display frame.
